The book: Beaten imagination, Lutheran coins in the Netherlands (Publisher: Verloren, Hilversum, 2010, 288 p.), was written by Harry Donga, the photos are by Carel van den Berg. Dr Harry Donga, studied theology at the University of Amsterdam, in 1989 he obtained his doctorate in theology at the same university. He was a minister of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Amsterdam from 1973 to 2008, he published several books in both theological and historical fields. Drs Carel van den Berg studied social geography at the University of Utrecht, after which he was a geography teacher from 1969 to 2007. The book includes much more background information, especially about the symbolism on the medals, than this site.
